This study examined the innovative leadership practices, management styles, and performance of school heads in Ayungon Districts 1 and 2, Negros Oriental. It also tested whether management styles mediated the relationship between innovative leadership practices and school head performance. A descriptive-correlational design with path analysis was employed among 36 school administrators selected through total enumeration. Data were gathered using a researcher-adapted questionnaire, while school head performance was based on the Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, and path analysis were used. Findings showed that innovative leadership practices and management styles were both very highly practiced, while school head performance was very high. Innovative leadership practices were significantly related to management styles and school head performance. Management styles were also significantly related to school head performance. However, management styles did not significantly mediate the relationship between innovative leadership practices and school head performance. The findings highlight innovative leadership as an important contributor to school head effectiveness.
