Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Duplicate Submission

The International Journal on Management Education and Emerging Technology (IJMEET) strictly prohibits duplicate or simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.

Authors must confirm that their submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere. Any manuscript found to have been submitted simultaneously to IJMEET and another publication, without proper disclosure, will be immediately rejected and appropriate disciplinary actions may be taken, including notifying the author’s institution and banning future submissions.

In the event that duplicate publication is discovered after the article is published, IJMEET reserves the right to retract the article and publish a formal notice of misconduct.

We urge authors to be transparent and adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity. If there is any overlap with prior publications, it must be clearly disclosed and justified in the cover letter at the time of submission.

Plagiarism Policy

IJMEET maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. The journal defines plagiarism as the use of another person’s ideas, words, or work without proper acknowledgment or permission, including self-plagiarism.

Key Policies:

• Originality Required: All submitted manuscripts must be the original work of the authors and should not have been previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
• Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts submitted to IJMEET undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate).
• A similarity index of more than 15% (excluding references) may lead to outright rejection.
• Manuscripts with minor similarity issues will be returned to authors for revision before further processing.

Types of Plagiarism Considered Unethical:

• Direct plagiarism (copying text verbatim without citation)
• Mosaic plagiarism (paraphrasing without credit)
• Self-plagiarism (reusing significant portions of one’s own previously published work without disclosure)
• Data fabrication/falsification

Consequences of Plagiarism:

• Immediate rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
• Notification sent to the corresponding author’s institution and/or funding agency.
• Blacklisting of the authors from future submissions to the journal.

Author Responsibility:

It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that their work is entirely original and appropriately cited. Authors are required to submit a signed Ethical Statement and Copyright Form declaring the authenticity of their manuscript.

Data Fabrication

The International Journal on Management Education and Emerging Technology (IJMEET) maintains a strict policy against data fabrication and falsification. Data fabrication refers to making up data or results and recording or reporting them as if they were real.

Authors must ensure that all data presented in their submissions are accurate, original, and obtained through legitimate research methods. Submitting false or manipulated data undermines the integrity of academic publishing and will not be tolerated.

If data fabrication is identified at any stage—during review, after publication, or via third-party reporting—the manuscript will be immediately rejected or retracted. The authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified, and appropriate actions, including blacklisting from future submissions, may be enforced.

IJMEET reserves the right to verify data and methodology as part of its peer review and post-publication integrity checks. Authors are encouraged to retain their raw data and make them available upon request by the editorial board.

Conflicts of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editorial board members of the International Journal on Management Education and Emerging Technology (IJMEET) must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the objectivity, integrity, or transparency of the publication process.

For Authors:

• Authors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing their research findings or interpretation of data.
• Any affiliations, funding sources, consultancies, stock ownership, or other relevant financial interests must be disclosed at the time of manuscript submission.
• If there are no conflicts, authors should explicitly state: "The authors declare no conflict of interest."

For Reviewers:

• Reviewers must recuse themselves from evaluating manuscripts if they have a personal or professional relationship with the authors or if they are involved in any competing work that may affect their objectivity.
• Any conflict, including recent collaborations, institutional affiliations, or direct competition with the authors, must be reported to the editorial office immediately.

For Editors and Editorial Board Members:

Editors and board members must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest, whether financial, personal, or academic. Editorial decisions should be made solely on the manuscript’s quality, relevance, and contribution to the field, without influence from any external interests.

Ethical Research Standard

IJMEET upholds the highest standards of ethical research. Authors must ensure that all research involving human participants or data follows institutional, national, and international guidelines, including obtaining informed consent where required.

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices are strictly prohibited. All submissions must reflect original work and proper citation of sources. IJMEET reserves the right to reject or retract papers that violate ethical standards.
