Keywords:
Management, Maintainance, CRDP, SchoolAbstract
The South African Government’s Comprehensive Rural Development Programme (CRDP) was launched in August 2009 by government with the specific aim of assisting rural communities realise their socio-economic livelihoods through government support. Bushbuckridge Municipality was identified by former president Thabo Mbeki in 2009 as an area that qualified for CRDP intervention by government due to its high poverty levels. This implied that even provision of educational resources by the government was going to be informed by the status of the municipality. The research focused on the poor state of school infrastructure in Ximhungwe Circuit, Bohlabela district, Mpumalanga province.
